A map with the boundary drawn

A map with the boundary drawn. It is smaller than the day, and that is the point. Look at the boundary you intend to stay inside first.

At the truck

Then mark the corners you must not cross and the way back to the truck. Mark the turn-around time before you mark anything else.

The slip

Watch for a map with no line on it. If it is already true in the parking area, it will be worse a mile in.

The check is you can point to the line without guessing. Fail it and you are done for the morning. That is a successful use of the note.

Keep before you leave boring. Boring means you came home with the same people you left with.

A field note, not legal advice. Check the season, the species rules, and whether you have permission to be on the land.
