The gun is cased until the field. It is smaller than the day, and that is the point. Look at a cased, unloaded firearm for the drive first.
At the truck
Then case it, unload it, and check the chamber before the truck moves. Mark the turn-around time before you mark anything else.
The slip
Watch for a loaded gun in the cab because the spot is close. If it is already true in the parking area, it will be worse a mile in.
The check is the chamber is empty and the case is closed for the drive. Fail it and you are done for the morning. That is a successful use of the note.
Keep before you leave boring. Boring means you came home with the same people you left with.
