Boots and clothes by the door. It is smaller than the day, and that is the point. Look at mud on boots and cuffs first.

At the truck

Then knock off the mud before it reaches the house. Mark the turn-around time before you mark anything else.

The slip

Watch for a truck left full of mud until it dries into the mat. If it is already true in the parking area, it will be worse a mile in.

The check is the truck mat and the boots are dealt with the same day. Fail it and you are done for the morning. That is a successful use of the note.

Keep after the day boring. Boring means you came home with the same people you left with.

A field note, not legal advice. Check the season, the species rules, and whether you have permission to be on the land.
